The Office Is Open For Business. Welcome!
You can have the sofa or the chair, wherever you are most comfortable.
Starting in mid-2023, this gorgeous pup will be available at the office intermittently to work with those needing a little extra comfort during treatment. Meet Elee "Ellie", aka Theory Grace Elegance. She's proving to be a lovebug.
The goal of this independent private practice is quality individualized service. I am a seasoned therapist with extensive training and life experience.
My undergraduate education was completed at Kent State University
and my graduate education was completed at the University of Kentucky.
I am licensed in Florida as a Mental Health Counselor- LMHC, and hold national board certification as an NCC - National Certified Counselor.
From Lisa:
Over the years, I've remained engaged in learning new skills that are considered "evidence based" as well as cutting-edge emerging modalities. There is excitement and innovation in my chosen profession and I love bringing that to you!
I believe healers are better if they have undergone the same therapeutic process as you. And nothing makes a great healer like the "school of hard knocks." I've encountered a few of those and can tell you that not only can you survive, but actually thrive.
I am married to an amazing man, have a rescued kitty named Vali (she crossed the rainbow bridge Thanksgiving 2022) and a therapy-dog-in-training Standard Poodle named Elee. Personal interests include learning, travel, nature, poets, quotes, art, hiking, kayaking, meditating, music from around the world, cooking / nutrition, new experiences. An young adopter of "To thine own self be true," I've lived in conventional and non-conventional ways - in the city and in the woods, in RVs and a houseboat, traveled to Europe for the art and architecture and to emerging countries for the culture, worked in corporate and governmental America and forged out into private practice at a very young age. I turned down an esteemed international position and instead chose to RV our country for a year, solo with my cat. I practice what I teach because therapists need to be a beacon of light, possibility, and hope for their clients.
